Data Leakage Prevention

What is data leakage prevention?
Data Leakage Prevention is the direct protection of data by protective measures. In addition, the integrity
and confidentiality of the data are protected directly or indirectly.

Why a DLP is needed?
It is not only the loss of competitive advantage. More and more customers inspect how their data is protected,
before establishing a relationship. Not to forget the legal regulations which are made to the board of management

How to start with DLP?
First you should answer the following questions.

• What data in the company must be protected particularly?
• Who uses this data and how are they used?
• Where this data were sent?
• Where are the data stored?
• What are the consequences of the loss of confidentiality for the company?
• What standards, laws and regulations must be met?
• What would be the harm with the loss of this information?
• What are the threats from inside and outside?
